Entries are now being accepted for the 2012 Pepsi Gallatin Valley Open (GVO) presented by Sun Mountain Sports and hosted by Cottonwood Hills Golf Course in Bozeman, Montana September 8th and 9th. The GVO is a 36 hole stroke play event for Professionals as well as Amateurs that have a handicap index of 12.0 or better. The professional purse is over $10,000 and each flight of amateurs plays for their entry in gift certificates and the opportunity to play with the professionals if their score after day one is within 7 of the lead. The GVO is a PGA sanctioned event and has been won by players from the PGA Tour, Rocky Mountain Section of the PGA, Dakota Tour, and the Senior PGA Tour. Last years winner was Mike Grob of Billings, Montana. Mike is the all-time leading money winner on the Canadian Tour and has also played on the PGA Tour. He has won over $1,000,000 during his playing career. The GVO has been played for 17 years and has raised over $20,000 for Eagle Mount of Bozeman and Junior golf.
