30th Annual Pepsi Gallatin Valley Open

Registration for the 2024 GVO will begin July, 1st 2024

Before registering for the Gallatin Valley Open, be sure to read all of the rules and regulations below. For questions please contact the Cottonwood Hills golf shop 406.587.1118, or email info@cottonwoodhills.com.

Professional participants need to register online through the RMSPGA BlueGolf website. Registration for professionals will open at a later date. We reserve 39 spots for professionals. If you are interested in being paired with a team for the sponsors pro-am on Friday morning, please email garret@cottonwoodhills.com

      Low score is last to tee off

Format

The open is a 2 day, 36 hole, cumulative low score, stroke play tournament. Appropriate to its name, all competitors, professionals and amateurs vie for the open title.

Entry Deadline

Cancellations

PGA Dress Code

Being a PGA sanctioned event Professionals are required to wear slacks and shirt tails in. ​

Amateurs may wear shorts but must have shirt tails tucked in.

Alternative Spikes

Cottonwood Hills prohibits the use of metal spikes

Range Balls

Saturday and Sunday range balls are included in entry.

Practice Round

Practice round is included in the entry fee. It is STRONGLY encouraged that all participants make tee times outside 10 days in advance. Public tee times will still be offered, so tee times will be limited.

Par 3 Contest

Friday afternoon after the pro-am and practice rounds will be a Par 3 Contest. All participants are welcome to play at no charge. This event is non-handicapped, and the low stroke total will win. Stop by the Par 3 any time after 3PM to get your round in. Max of 5 people per group. Only GVO Participants may compete for the prize money.

Field

The field will be limited to 123 players (39 professionals and 84 amateurs). No senior divisions. Amateur flight size will be 12 competitors, unless open committee determines different.

Amateur Flights

Amateur flights are based upon the handicap index as confirmed by your handicapping authority. Amateur flight size will be 12 competitors. In the event of multiple players with the same index exceeding the 12 player limit flights will be balanced with a draw by the tournament committee. Every attempt will be made to pair players within their flights Saturday and Sunday.

Power Carts

Carts will be available to rent on a first come first serve basis.

$25 per seat per day.

Patrons and caddies are welcome, but MAY NOT ride in a golf cart with participant per RMSPGA rules.
